A Tear, Sarah Jane?

I am sorry to be the one to break the news to you all as devoted Sarah Jane fans, I have just been informed of some very distressing news.

Actress and star of Doctor Who & The Sarah Jane Adventures, Elisabeth Sladen, has passed away following a battle with Cancer, aged 63.

All of us here at SJ.tv extend our thoughts and condolences go to her husband, Brian and daughter Sadie, as well as all of us whom she touched in her life, whether in person or simply through performance.

A further tribute will be prepared when the shock of her loss has passed.

Such Sad news. What a wonderful Lady and such a loss. Those last three Sarah Jane Adventures that are in the can will be very precious now. I hope the series continues in her name.

Absolutely devastating - uniting all the oldies and the new young-uns in admiration for her - she will be missed by all the generations of fandom. What a great Lady!

I could never watch the end of School Reunion without blubbing as it was - now goodness knows what I'll do.
I remember the tears when she left in Hand of Fear, (forgivable at 8). Then the tears when we see her back in 2006. Now I'm at it again...

    "Goodbye Doctor"
    "No it's not goodbye....
"No say it please this time, say it..."
    "Goodbye.... MY Sarah Jane..."

Goodbye Liz, You were the best.

I have a quick question, what will happen with SJA's 5th series with the episodes that have been filmed will they air as a tribute to her or will the episodes face the fate that Shada faced almost 30 years ago remain unaired.

I can't believe it! Sarahjane is such a good actress and no-one will ever replace her. It's terrible news

  19. The fact that several of you only seem to be concerned with "What will happen with Series 5?", is completely and utterley offesive to say the least. While we will all miss Liz's portrayal of Sarah-Jane, now is not the time to be raising questions like "Above". I am sure Liz would want you all to see these remaining episodes, but as to replacing her? Come on people get a heart, you survived before SJA and you will after it. If anything is to replace SJA, you will all know some time soon (and that does not mean tomorrow, it means in a reasonalbe time frame). In the interim, respect the dead, watch your favourite episodes on DVD and celebrate what was a great life and touched many hearts.

I agree with DJ Rob Cyberman. I don't even care at this point. With her gone I may never even watch doctor who or anything related ever again. Won't be getting over this anytime soon.
