Two's Company?

There's a strange report floating about over at the icWales news site, and for the life on me I can't decipher it's true intentions. The news report comments upon news that the Slitheen are set to appear in the first new SJA story - but then goes on to claim that The Sarah Jane Adventures have been recommissioned for a second series.
+
The article (found here) actually uses the word "recommissioned" in its report, which makes me think that's it's talking about a whole new 10 part series in 2008. But it then goes on to discuss the current, approaching 10 part series as the 'new' series. So, lets try and make things a little clearer - are icWales counting this first series as a recommission of "Invasion of the Bane"? Or has the show actually been commissioned for a second 10 part series?
+
If it's the latter, then there's no factual evidence to back up their claims. Infact, the word on the street is the series - at this point - is more likely to not be commissioned for a second year than otherwise (due to several 'internal' factors).

More news on this potentially exciting development when and if we get it.

UPDATE: Today's Guardian features a rundown of the Autumn's top 50 television programmes, and The Sarah Jane Adventures enter the charts at a very respectable 26.
