From a link spotted on LiveJournal (and, I've just noticed, in the comments from the last entry): Sarah Jane: the Return. Again.
Is this true? Is this the news we have been waiting for? (Plus an added bonus!?!)
Still no official word from the BBC yet, but if I were a bettin' kind of girl, I'd say that the future of Sarah Jane looks very bright, indeed!!
Yay, Sarah Jane!!!

To clarify, Sladen hints that she'll be filming a 24 part series of "The Sarah Jane Adventures" from April onwards. We've no idea if this is true, or if it is, if it'll form two 12 part series (because of the kids growing so damn fast, they might speed up production)

This sounds so cool! But I think 24 episodes might makes the episodes have worse effects...
I had heard its not for just one series, that it was for series 2 and 3 - that would make an easier 12 eps per series..
OOooo added bonus?! can we expand on that?
But 24 episodes of Sarah Jane is only like 12 episodes of Doctor Who, and they usually have 14 in a season (including the Christmas Specials), so I wouldn't worry about the effects suffering. I'm so pleased that Sarah Jane, Rose, Jack, Martha & Donna will all be together. It sounds awesome!
The "added bonus" refers to her possible return to Doctor Who, mentioned in the SFX article. Not only will she be back in SJA, but will make another appearance in DW as well!
Sorry I wasn't too clear on that point-I was just too excited! ;)
THERE IS A GOD. And that's well over double the amount of episodes for Season 1! I'm just...in shock... I seriously can't breath. MUST get the copy of SFX in March!
Plus, (and this is me being extra geeky), if the 1st Series is considered part of Series 4 of the New Whoniverse (it's set in 2009 per Maria's clock in 'Inavsion of the Bane'), along with Season 2 of Torchwood, that gives us 38 episodes this year, unless we get another animated adventure and/or another Children In Need mini-episode. And while we'll only be getting 3 Who installments next year...and assuming there's a 3rd Series of Torchwood, we'll be getting 40 episodes with the new season of Sarah Jane. ;-0)
If that didn't make sense to anyone but me...I'm ok with that. lol
As a possible crew member for future SJA eps, I've been told that they are filming 2 series (24 eps) back to back while Doctor Who is taking a year out. I'm guessing this is just to get it all the way so the SJA crew can take time out as well.
looks like we are getting our hopes up for nothing
