This is Getting Silly...

According to this DigitalSpy report the BBC have yet to officially commission a second season of "The Sarah Jane Adventures", despite what SFX Magazine have to say on the matter. Interestingly, SFX are now claiming that the second and third seasons of the SJA will be filmed back to back - meaning we'll have two seasons of 12 episodes each.

If only the BBC would make it official...

In other news, BBC One's Christmas drama "Ballet Shoes" (which starred Yasmin Paige, aka Maria Jackson) has been released for domestic use by ITV DVD. You can buy the disk by clicking this handy link here - and enjoy the show!

Oh, and Elisabeth Sladen will apparently [SPOILERS!] film her "Doctor Who" cameo appearence in February. I'm hearing that she shows up for episode 13 only, following the explosive cliffhanger of episode 12... More news as it comes in!

If, like me, you're starting to show withdrawal symptoms now that the SJA are over, you can always pick up Big Finish's Sarah Jane Smith audio series. I've just finished the second series, and it's an absolute joy!

Toodles, amigos.

Oh my GOD, BBC, stop messing us about! Just confirm it already! Why are they being so mean??

Aw shucks, a 24 episode season did sound a little too good to be true. I just hope the series isn't capped at a third season. I'm sure we can squeeze one more out of them! I'm currently indulging my SJA withdrawal with the prospect of the new DVD in March, with new toys coming out by April and meeting Luke and Clyde at the Oncoming Storm in June. Rest of the time's taken up with coursework! Gah.

The LA Times has an Interview with RTD where they say that The Sci-Fi Channel have licensed SJA! I'm trying to not get too excited incase they're wrong but fingers crossed! Sorry about not linking it but I can't use cut & paste at the mo.

You'll find it if you look up "Doctor Who" in Google News.
