Numbers

Hope everybody had a good old, spooky Halloween weekend - I know I did! Did anybody out there in fandom have a Doctor Who or SJA themed party, or did you dress up as a character from either show? If you did, we'd love to see some pics - so send them in to the usual email address.

THE GORGEOUS ANJLI MOHINDRA - BRINGING EXTRA MALE ATTENTION TO THE SERIES!

Anyhoo... now that things have calmed down after the crazy events of Thursday and Friday, it's time we take stock and reflect. Friday's broadcast of The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith dropped 200,000 viewers, with 1.1 million people tuning in. This gave the programme a 9.6% audience share.

The adventure had an AI score of 87 for Part One, and 89 for Part Two. AI stands for Appreciation Index, and measures how much the audience liked what they were watching. Any score over 85 is considered excellent.

Thanks to Marcus over at the Doctor Who News Page for the figures.

According to Amazon, the third series DVD release of The Sarah Jane Adventures might not be January 2010 after all...

The retailer has advertised that the boxset will be out in its usual October/November slot instead. The mystery deepens!

Remember!! You'll get caught up in The Eternity Trap - Part One this Thursday, from 4:35pm on BBC One/HD.

Argh! I can't wait till next October/November! Well. Only if they promise that they'll be able to include commentaries by Lis and David if we wait. Then I'll be patient.

Maybe. *sigh*

I wonder why they are pushing it back? Perhaps to coincide with a fourth series? :D

Also,it's weird that the ratings went down for part two, you would have thought that they were higher.

The whole Tennant thing was a massive let down. It had been so hyped up - it is gonna be brilliant. It wasnt ... and can i also add that wasnt he meant to be in two episodes not one and a cameo in another. Those people at the BBC should only say what they know for sure and not let everyone down , again.

Anyway - who really cares about the old woman and her lipstick anymore ?

This series has been just that.

Hand me a camcorder and i could do a better , more exsiting story to keep the audience hungry for more. As for the acting that comes from Tomas Knight is completley awful.
He cant act. You can so tell his mum has forced him into acting - he says when he's older he wants to be a brain surgen. and he then is stupid enough not to watch himself on TV. Being on Doctor Who ... everyone would throw a big party if they got the chance to go on it ... look at him staying over at a friends house to avoid watching it ! I hope sja doesnt have a fourth series -its dire telivison.

I agree with you that the BBC advertised David Tennant being in part 1 of the Wedding far too much, like getting Tommy and Danny talking about it and all the adverts but they weren't lying-the Doctor was in it and it was a good way to get people to watch the first episode and want to watch the next one after the huge cliffhanger at the end of part 1.

Series 4 is (apparently) in pre-production and will probably be filmed around April-May 2010.

And judging by the popularity and ratings of the show, I think quite a few people do care about an old woman and her lipstick.
:P

Tommy Knight's a great actor, he just gets outshone by Danny, Anjli and Lis because they're all older than him and more experienced. Maybe it was a bit cheesy in Stolen Earth/Journey's End but that wasn't his fault, it was the script.
If youve watched the whole of the Wedding then you wouldnt say that, everyone was amazing in that.

Nabu must be really busy with those counting votes because I just noticed all the posts on this page are jackharkness!
Not that relevant, just thought I'd say.
