Cybermats Rule....

Despite production being in full swing and tons of coverage initiall... It's all gone a bit quiet on the news front! Elisabeth Sladen, et al are all out there now in Cardiff living the high life, filming The Sarah Jane Adventures whilst we're stuck here at home with nothing to report!
+
So carrying on a theme we started a while ago, I sat down last night to re-watch some classic Sarah Jane starring Doctor Who. My episode of choice? Revenge of the Cybermen - and a treat is was too!
+
Lis is absolutely on top form throughout this story and is the only member of the cast who, I feel, brings a believable performance to being attacked by a Cybermat. As an actor myself, I know what a fine line it can be to portray the attacked convincingly, when you are in fact in total control of your attacker - its a common method used in a lot of fight scenes (just check next time somebody is grabbed by the hair... you will usually see their is no tension in the attackers arm and actually the victim is doing all of the moving).
+
Another scene that really stood out (and had me falling about laughing) is the uber camp Cyber leader. He spends one whole scene strutting around with his hands on his hips like some angry mother, demanding to know why you are an hour late for dinner. Pure class.
+
So while we keep an ear to the ground for the sound of drums (see, topical) and more SJA filming, why not go back and see some Cybermats for yourself!

I love revenge of the cybermen, and i love the scene when she gets attacked y the cybermat, [why do i get such a kick out of her being attacked!] I like the way she reaches for the doctor when he's carrying her and he passes her over to Harry, ooh she loves him.

Is this news... Nathalie Cuzner is listed as playing an "evil nun" for SJA 2007.

Cuzner gets alot of parts on Doctor Who related stuff! She was on Torchwood as a cop, and she was the FutureKind woman that snuck into Silo 16.
