When I saw the notice in my inbox that there were going to be some major changes to the previously announced North American DVD release schedule, my heart nearly skipped a beat...especially when they said one highly anticipated title was taken off the schedule and one was moved!!
I shouldn't have worried, though-it turns out the BBC is taking the Complete Davros Collection and Rememberance of the Daleks: Special Edition off the spring schedule, with no word as to when they will return. While I am a little sad about this news (I'm quite fond of Dalek episodes), I am relieved that both Sarah Jane stories are still on the release schedule, with just one change:
Planet of Evil will be moved to the March 4th release date-one that coincides with the release of another Tom Baker serial, Destiny of the Daleks. The Time Warrior will still be released on April 1st. *whew!* ;)
Complete details, along with the artwork for both Sarah Jane stories, can be found at tvshowsondvd.com.

Good reporting! I wonder what made Warners take the two Dalek titles off of the radar...? Poor sales in the UK perhaps, or rights
issues? The mystery deepens!
By the way Romana, what SJS titles have already been released in the US? And more importantly, do you own them all? ;)
Thanks! :)
Robot, the Ark in Space, the Sontaran Experiment, Genesis of the Daleks, Pyramids of Mars, the Hand of Fear, and the Five Doctors special have all been released in the US. I've got all of them except for Robot, and there are two reasons why I don't own that (yet):
1. It came out just as I was packing up to move and shouldn't be adding more stuff to pack (plus, I'd be watching it instead of packing...LOL)
2. I decided to add it to my Christmas wish list that my sister had been bugging me for since mid-October. (crazy girl, likes to get her shopping done early-what's the fun in that? *hee*) Hopefully I'll have it Christmas morning!
I've got everything else on tape-including K-9& Company. :)
Just as an update, TV Shows on DVD subsequently reported that licensing issues are what has cancelled a North American release of the Remembrance of the Daleks Special Edition, though as of yesterday (Dec. 12) they hadn't yet found out the details. And since the Davros box also was to include the SE, that got cancelled as well, with no word as to whether either will ever be released in North America or if the Remembrance Special Edition will end up joining the 1996 telefilm in limbo for Region 1. Presumably the standard edition of Remembrance of the Daleks, released some 5 years ago, will remain available unless this ends up being a retroactive rights issue.
