Splended Chaps (All of Them)

Whilst we await an announcement regarding a possible second series of "The Sarah Jane Adventures" there is news, from the very reliable Doctor Who Online, that 2008 will definately see the release of a special edition DVD of 1983's "The Five Doctors" which, as any decent fan knows, was produced to celebrate 20 years of Doctor Who, and guest starred Elisabeth Sladen and John Leeson as Sarah Jane Smith and K9.

DWO have posted the following details about what we can expect from the set:

Classic Series adventure; The Five Doctors, is to get a Special Edition DVD release in 2008.

Although not yet officially confirmed by 2entertain, many online retailers are already taking pre-orders for the DVD, which includes both the Standard Edition and Extended Edition of the serial.

Special Features include; 'the best Doctor Who Easter Egg ever!', 2 Documentaries, 2 Commentaries, Raw Footage, Isolated Score, Photo Gallery, Coming soon trailer, Radio Times billings, Subtitles & Production notes.

All sounds very exciting; expect more Sarah-Jane classic series adventures to hit DVD next year!
